Hi Friend!
I'm Catalina
I spent 12 years in the high school math trenches—teaching everything from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC—living on caffeine, sheer determination, and whatever new engagement strategy I could Google at 10 p.m.
When I first started out, I honestly I was handed a textbook and a pacing guide and was told to stick to them like they were the Bible. And I did, thinking this was best practice. Spoiler: it wasn’t. My students were checked out, the lessons felt dry, and no matter how hard I worked, I always felt like I was one step behind.
I knew my students were capable of more, and I was determined to make math a subject they could not only pass but actually feel confident about. The problem? Everything I found online either looked like it was made in 1997, lacked rigor, did not interest my students or took hours to prep—and who has time for that?
So I ditched the textbook and pacing guide and started listening to my students. Through trial and error I started building engaging, standards-aligned lessons and activities that were designed to keep students actively learning while giving teachers their time (and sanity) back. The results? My students were more engaged, made real progress, and walked into test days prepared and confident. And I finally stopped dreading review weeks.
Now, as a stay-at-home mom of three (7, 4, and 1.5), I’m focused on helping you do the same. I create low-prep, high-impact digital games and lessons that are designed to make your students actually want to participate—and to help you feel confident that you’re delivering the rigor they need without burning yourself out.
A little about me:
-
I’m originally from Argentina and moved to the U.S. when I was 14.
-
I’m a proud dog lover with an 11-month-old Great Dane who keeps me on my toes.
-
I’m unapologetically obsessed with 90s and 2000s pop music (yes, I still know every word and sing along).
-
I rely on coffee and yoga in equal measure to keep life balanced.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to help you engage your students, strengthen their math skills, and make your job easier. Because teaching is hard enough—your resources shouldn’t make it harder.
Let’s work together to make math class a place where students feel successful, challenged, and—dare I say it—excited to learn.
